In June 2006 Lee Clair, a Norbridge Partner, spoke at the National Coal Transportation Association (NCTA) Western Coal conference in Denver on the changing face of the North American transportation industry and the implications for coal mines and utilities. The conclusion from the Norbridge research presented was that capacity for transporting coal was going to remain tight for the foreseeable future, necessitating additional investment and productivity gains.
