Positions - Principal
The role of the Principal is to manage research and analysis in a project-based environment. Assigned to 2-4 project teams at a time, the Principal will be involved in:
  • Planning and executing objectives for complex projects involving multiple phases and practices
  • Effectively delegating tasks to project team
  • Ensuring quality of analysis and research
  • Building relationships with multiple client contacts
  • Demonstrating facilitation impact with large client groups, often comprised of senior management
  • Identifying project extensions and new opportunities with existing client accounts and initiating appropriate follow-up action
  • Developing thought leadership pieces to grow the firm's intellectual capital and support practice development
Travel
Principals are expected to travel to client sites as necessitated by projects. Typical travel is 2-3 days per week on average, with sporadic 4- or 5-day travel weeks.

Compensation
Our total compensation package for Principals compares favorably with that offered for similar positions at other leading consulting firms. As a small entrepreneurial company, we choose to keep base compensation modest, and emphasize annual bonuses. QUALIFICATIONS

Education
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated superior capabilities in completing an undergraduate degree as well as an advanced degree such as an MBA or Ph.D.

Analytical/Technical Skills
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding analysis, organizational, and writing skills. He/she will be able to synthesize research and effectively apply analytical techniques from multiple industry or functional practices. He or she will also demonstrate expertise in a particular industry or functional practice.

Human Relations/Communications Skills
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, confident, creative, and comfortable in an unstructured situation. He or she will be recognized by peers as a thought leader, and be persuasive in describing a point of view. He/she will be an astute listener, and able to connect with client needs.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of related consulting or industry experience. Project management experience is required.
